Notebook – Birch bark
Spiral-bound A5 sized notebook with 80 off-white, blank pages (130 g/m2) in our popular birch bark design that features bark (cork) cells in birch stained in blue by a standard microscopy dye.
Cork cells are thin, air-filled cells that form a protective layer on the surface of the tree trunk. Birch bark cells contain a molecule called betulin, which may protect birch trees against pathogenic fungi and microorganisms. Betulin also gives the bark its typical white color.
Our notebooks are made in Sweden on EU Ecolabel, FSC certified paper.
