Linen toiletry bag — Birch bark
A practical toiletry bag (28x20cm) with zipper closure and a small microscope charm attached to the zipper. The toiletry bag is lined with upcycled jeans and sewn in Umeå. This popular pattern features bark (cork) cells in birch. Cork cells are thin, air-filled cells that form a protective layer on the surface of the tree trunk. Birch bark cells contain a molecule called betulin, which may protect birch trees against pathogenic fungi and microorganisms. Betulin also gives the bark its typical white color.
