Linen kitchen towel – Birch bark
Kitchen towel in linen (45×65 cm) showcasing the delicate intricacy of bark (cork) cells in birch. Cork cells are thin, air-filled cells that form a protective layer on the surface of the tree trunk. Birch bark cells contain a molecule called betulin, which may protect birch trees against pathogenic fungi and microorganisms. Betulin also gives the bark its typical white color.

Product: Kitchen towel 45x65cm with one-sided print (backside white).
Material: 100% linen (185 gsm) OEKO-Tex 100 certified grown, woven and printed in the Baltic area.
Pattern: This pattern features birch bark cells either with the original color from the dye used for microscopy in the laboratory (blue) or color-adjusted (yellow).
Care of use: Recommended washing at 40°C.
