This whimsical bubbly pattern printed on a linen kitchen towel is perfect a perfect touch for a colourful kitchen. The “bubbles” are isolated cells from an Arabidopsis plant. When cell walls are removed from around plant cells, the cells become round. These manipulated cells, called protoplasts, are commonly used in plant research.
